Library
Chongqing University Library is one of the biggest libraries in western China. Founded in 1930,it processes a long history and abundant collections. Each campus has its own independent library building,with total area of 63,919 square meters and 5,405 seats. The 10 gigabit backbone network is connected with the Campus WiFi Network fully covering the library. There are two modern electronic reading rooms with 160 computers available for readers to log on the internet, open at all times. The management and service mode is the integration of store, lend, read and internet, 7 days a week, 8:00A.M. – 10:00P.M..The digital library has enormous network information resources including CNKI full text periodical database, Scholar House digital books, Elsevier SDOS, IEEE, SCI/SSCI, EI, DII, Wanfang database, national standard database, various self-built databases and etc. There are altogether 120 databases.
Student should bring Campus Card along when entering the library. If you have any problem when borrowing and reading books, or other use of the library, the staff of the library is available to help at any time. Student may borrow a book from the library for one month, and can renew the book after one month. Renewal can be performed at the counter of the library, or online via the library website.

1. Libraries close every Thursday afternoon for the operation study and housekeeping. The opening hours for Science and Engineering Library and Architecture Library on Thursday are 08:00-12:00 A.M. and 7:00-10:00 P.M.. Opening hours for the Huxi Library on Thursday are 08:00-12:00 A.M. and 6:00-10:00 P.M..
