二、主讲人介绍

吴同学，重庆大学能源与动力工程学院热物理与工程热物理专业博士研究生。以第一作者身份在国际期刊 Applied Thermal Engineering 发表论文1篇，在《原子能科学技术》发表封面论文1篇。曾多次参加国内外学术会议，并在 WORTH-11 国际会议中荣获“Best Paper Award”与“Excellent Oral Presentation Award”。研究方向主要涉及气冷反应堆多物理场耦合、能源系统热工过程模拟与数值计算。

1. 如何提出科学且可研究的问题：把模糊的兴趣转化为清晰的研究目标；

2. 如何发现研究空白与创新点：利用数据库与文献可视化工具进行分析；

3. 如何判断选题的创新性、可行性与学术价值；

To help international students better integrate into the academic life at Chongqing University and foster a positive, inclusive, diverse, and harmonious international campus atmosphere, the Centre of International Students Mobility Service is to kick off the academic counseling scheme of “Meet Peers at CQU, Advance Together in Academia”. At the first session of the scheme, Ms. Wu, a PhD student of Chongqing University, will share her academic experience to help international students develop a research-oriented mindset and start their academic journey smoothly. Registration: Students interested in participating are requested to fill in the registration information via the Study in China Assistant APP before November 5.

II. Speaker Introduction

Ms. Wu is a PhD candidate majoring in Thermal Physics and Engineering Thermophysics at the College of Energy and Power Engineering, Chongqing University. She has published one paper as the first author in the international journal Applied Thermal Engineering and one cover paper in Atomic Energy Science and Technology. She has participated in many domestic and international academic conferences, and won the “Best Paper Award” and “Excellent Oral Presentation Award” at the WORTH-11 International Conference. Her research focuses on multi-physics coupling of gas-cooled reactors, simulation and numerical calculation of thermal processes in energy systems.

III. Key Points

1. How to propose scientific and researchable questions: transforming vague interests into clear research objectives;

2. How to identify research gaps and innovation points: using databases and literature visualization tools for analysis;

3. How to judge the innovation, feasibility and academic value of a research topic;

4. How to use the topic selection logic of highly cited papers to inspire your own ideas;

This lecture will be conducted in English. It is recommended to sort out your own confusion in choosing a research direction in advance so as to efficiently get answers during the interactive session.
