Chongqing is a relatively safe city and Chongqing University is a secure and well-guarded campus. Nevertheless, students are encouraged to take some safety precautions. It is not advisable for students to carry their passport and large sums of money with them at all times. When you are off campus, your Student ID Card and one photocopy of your passport will be sufficient enough to verify your identity.

In  case of emergency, contact the police immediately and report the incident to the International Students Office, the staff there can provide you with help.
