1. Insurance

According to the Provisional Rules on Medical Insurance for International Students Studying in Institution of Higher Education, made by Ministry of Education of the PRC, all international students should purchase comprehensive insurance in China.

Self-support students can purchase their own insurance during registration period through International Sutdents Office.

Students who are not medically insured or failed to present to the university the required documents regarding insurance are not allowed to register.

2．Medical Services

In case of illness or accident, please call 4008105119 EXT 1 for medical counseling. The on-call doctor will provide counseling and over-the phone diagnose service as well as medical advice for the customer who have called. If the doctor confirms that further hospitalization is required, the insured can apply for pre-payment payment of hospitalization expense to the insurance company. The insurance company will communicate with the hospital to dertermine whether and how to begin the pre-pay procedures. If the insured has himself directly hospitalized without the counseling, diagnosis and recording by a doctor, or without outpatient treatment (including those whose conditions do not meet the requirements of hospitalization but require the outpatient doctor to agree with hospitalization), the insurance company will not cover the pre-payment of medical expense for hospitalization. If pre-payment for medical expenses is made without following the above procedures, the insured's claim will not be settled.
