June 1998 – June 2001, studied at Ethiopian Civil Service College in Ethiopia for a bachelor’s degree.
Sep. 2003 – June 2005, studied at Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia for a master’s degree.
Sep. 2010 – Dec. 2013, studied at School of Economics and Business Administration of Chongqing University for a doctorate.
From Jan. 2014 when he returned to Ethiopia to now, he has been working as a vice-minister of the Mineral Department of Ethiopia.
As the vice-minister, he visited Chongqing in Oct. 2014 and met with Liu Qiang, the deputy mayor of Chongqing and other relevant leaders of the municipal party committee, discussing economic development and other issues of Ethiopia and Chongqing. http://www.cqworld.cn/?pa=35&newsid=11804.
2. 2007 Doctoral Candidate ADOU HALADOU (Niger)
Sep. 1990 – July 1994, studied at Hohai University for a bachelor’s degree.
Mar. 1996 – July 1999, studied at Hohai University for a master’s degree.
Nov. 1999 – Sep. 2007, worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Niger for China-Niger cooperation project and translation.
Sep. 2007 – July 2011, studied at Chongqing University for a doctorate.
He is currently working for the Republic of Niger’s embassy in China as the Science and Technology Commissioner. As the commissioner, he has been following closely on the status of overseas students in China, and paid several visits to universities. 3. 2012 Doctoral Candidate SHAHID HUSSSAIN (Pakistan)
May 2001 – May 2004, studied at University of Sargodha in Pakistan for a bachelor’s degree.
Apr. 2005 – Apr. 2007, studied at University of the Punjab in Pakistan for a master’s degree.
Sep. 2012 – July 2015, studied at Chongqing University for a doctorate.
He has been working for the postdoctoral research station at the School of Material Science and Engineering of Chongqing University since graduation.
He did quite well in every subject when he studied at the university and excelled academically. He took part in various activities on campus and off campus, and also did well. He won Haotian Scholarship and Academician Huang Shanglian Youth Innovation Team Award in 2014; the Third Prize in the International Transducer & Sensor Innovation Contest (National), the Second Prize in the International Transducer & Sensor Innovation Contest (Southwest Region), the Honorary Title of the 1st Top Ten Postgraduate Academic Stars of Chongqing Universityhttp://news.cqu.edu.cn/news/article/article_68613.html?from=singlemessage&isappinstalled=0, and the Chinese and Foreign Students Badminton Match in 2012 and 2013 (the Second Prize / the Third Prize in the Men’s doubles).
4. 2013 Master Degree Candidate SORMAKARA VAN (Cambodia)
Sep. 2009 – July 2013, studied at Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia for a bachelor’s degree.
Sep. 2013 – July 2015, studied at School of Foreign Language and Cultures of Chongqing University for a master’s degree.
From July 2015 when he returned to Cambodia to now, he is currently working at Zhongwang Investment Consultation Management Co. Ltd. in Phnom Penh of Cambodia as an executive director Assistant.
He did quite well in every subject when he studied at our university, took part in the various activities on and off campus and won several awards, including the Second Prize in the Closing Ceremony and Overseas Students Speech Contest of the 17th Tourism Festival of Chongqing in 2013, the First Prize in the Senior Division in the 4th Chinese Language Skill Contest of Chongqing University in 2013, the First Prize in the Movie Dubbing Contest of the Chinese Language International Education Master's Degree Overseas Students of Chongqing University in 2014, the First Prize in the Overseas Students Recital Contest of E9 Excellence 9 China Impression in 2015 and others. Since he went back to his home country in July 2015, he has been taking part in various social activities. On July 10, 2015, he hosted the establishment and inauguration ceremony of the 7th council of Cambodian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. He deeply impressed the officials presented and honored guests with his fluent Chinese and elegant manners.
